Cooley is seeking a Pro Bono Coordinator to join the Pro Bono team.
Position summary: The Pro Bono Coordinator is the centralized resource responsible for providing high-level administrative, project support and coordination of other departmental initiatives.
Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Position responsibilities:
Code department invoices and send to Accounting & Finance for processing
Prepare and maintain various PowerPoint presentations, Excel files, and Word documents for pro bono team
Assist with various data entry tasks as needed, including data entry in pro bono client and volunteer databases
Assist with submission of new business forms and conflict checks
Prepare and generate various statistical reports from pro bono client and volunteer databases
Keep all files up-to-date and organized.
Ensure materials are forwarded to Information Governance Department, as needed
Perform other tasks and duties as assigned or required by the Pro Bono Partner and Pro Bono Counsel
In collaboration with pro bono assistant and pro bono specialists, maintaining pro bono client and volunteer databases
Facilitate pro bono client queries, screening, and processing
Prepare new business forms, conflict sheets and engagement letters, and advise other admin staff re: same
Serve as point of contact to secretaries and other admin staff on pro bono procedures/questions
Assist with pro bono practice department budget monitoring and annual budget planning process
Coordinate pro bono trainings in conjunction with partner legal services providers
Handle pro bono event planning and logistics
Collaborate with pro bono specialists on various projects and tasks as assigned by pro bono partner and pro bono counsel
Assist Pro Bono Partner, Pro Bono Counsel, and Pro Bono Committee with pro bono projects and initiatives, as necessary
All other duties as assigned or required

Required:
After orientation at Cooley LLP, exhibit proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, iManage and other firm applications
After orientation and training demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Access and/or other database management applications
Available to work overtime, as required
2+ years’ prior administrative experience

Bachelor's Degree
Previous law firm experience
Previous legal secretary and/or executive assistant experience helpful
