*About the Organization and Position*
Well known Non-Profit is hiring a *Director of Nursing *for their brand new inpatient program.
This program covers a 16 bed residential facility for those with Severe Mental Illness with a trauma background.
Clients are adults and usually stay 6-12 months.
This well known and well established agency provides psychiatry, medication management, outpatient substance use treatment, case management, supportive housing, LGBTQ youth and youth care.
Our services cross age ranges from children to older adults.
The *Director of Nursing* is will support in oversight of psychiatric services, hire, and supervise all nursing personnel, and provide nursing leadership and management.

*Responsibilities*
* Plan, direct, monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of comprehensive nursing services.
* Direct, coordinate, and participate in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and priorities that balance health care needs with all applicable standards for accreditation, quality assurance, and safe patient care.
* Meet documentation standards set by BHRS, MediCal and the program.
* Triage urgent or emergent needs.
* Serve as a resource in interdisciplinary team to ensure quality client care.
* Review and approval all referrals into the MHRC to ensure that the program is able to meet client’s medical and nursing care needs.
* Communicate as needed with referring parties about special treatment issues.
* Communicate as needed with hospitals regarding clients who are transferred to an inpatient unit and will be returning.
* Ensure that the program is stocked with necessary supplies.
* Plan, Create, Implement, and Monitor policies and procedures for Nursing services to ensure optimal efficiency, quality client care, and safety of all staff and clients.
*Experience*
* Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing and hold a valid RN license from the California Board of Nursing.
* Must have at least one year of experience in nursing supervision within the last five (5)
* years.
* Experience in psychiatric rehabilitation, preferably in a social rehabilitation environment is preferred.
* Knowledge of the following evidence-based models: Psychosocial Rehabilitation, Harm
* Reduction, and Motivational Interviewing is preferred.
* Demonstrated knowledge of CARF accreditation process.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $175,000.
