*THE ORGANIZATION * Adolescent Counseling Services (ACS) was founded in 1975, and its mission is to empower youth in our community to find their way through social-emotional support and by building safe, accepting communities.
To achieve this, ACS operates four programs serving 6-25 year olds in Santa Clara and San Mateo counties: the *On-Campus Counseling Program (OCCP),* providing free counseling on-campus at partner elementary, middle, and secondary schools; the *Outlet Program*, providing clinical and social support, education, leadership development, and advocacy for LGBTQ+ youth; the *Adolescent Substance Abuse Treatment Program (ASAT)*, providing services and assessment, outpatient treatment, aftercare, and education; and the *Community Counseling Program (CCP)*, providing affordable individual and family counseling during afternoon and evening hours.
*The Outlet Program* supports and empowers lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning (LGBTQ+) youth ages 10-25 living on the San Francisco Peninsula and the Bay Area.
Through social peer groups, counseling/therapy services, mentorship, community training, and advocacy, Outlet has been a critical resource for LGBTQ teens since 1997.
For more information about Outlet and ACS, visit *TITLE:* Program Director *REPORTS TO: *Clinical Director *HOURS:* Full time (Hybrid Opportunities Available) *SALARY:* Depending on experience/licensure status/Competitive *OVERVIEW* The Program Director is responsible for the overall management and direction of the Outlet program within Adolescent Counseling Services (ACS).
The Outlet program's goal is to provide necessary services and support to LGBTQ+ children, youth, young adults and their families.
The Program Director’s main responsibilities include program management and implementation, outreach, staff and volunteer management, and representing the program on various coalitions, community work groups, and in the community at large.
If the applicant is a licensed mental health professional, they are also responsible for overseeing the clinical aspects, as well as social, consultation, and educational aspects of the program.
The Program Director works closely with the Clinical Director and Clinical Supervisor to lead and maintain the ongoing sustainability of the program.
*DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:* * Ensure programming is aligned with mission of ACS * Collaborate with Clinical Director to supervise development of all program content in coordination with ACS goals and strategic priorities * Meet regularly with Clinical Director to report on program activities * Attend Management team meetings to report on clinical program activities * Establish program outcomes and goals with Clinical Director and Outlet team members that comply with MOUs/RFPs * Ensure successful implementation of all programming including: delivering professional trainings and workshops, supporting staff in facilitation of youth groups, developing and implementing youth events, and providing consultations and resources to service providers and community members * Oversee measurement, tracking, and reporting of all program objectives by the oversight and reporting of clinical program outcomes to Clinical Director * Maintain upkeep and overall appearance of program offices * Research and develop current best practices related to supporting LGBTQ+ youth * Oversee volunteer management in conjunction with Outlet team members * Manage team member purchases and track program budget with Clinical Director * Interview, hire, train, and evaluate program personnel and clinical interns, including participation in the BAPIC (PhD/PsyD Trainees) and Masters Level Internship process * Coordinate and implement orientation and training for all new program employees * Maintain working knowledge of the mental health needs of LGBTQ+ youth in the Bay Area * Provide Clinical Didactic trainings to all ACS staff/interns on issues related to work with LGBTQ+ clients * Build and maintain strategic community partnerships and collaborations with local agencies, school districts, and other key community stakeholders * Represent and promote Outlet and ACS on coalitions, community workgroups, and in the general community * Oversee and plan annual fundraising gala “Out-to-Eat” with Marketing Director, Outlet team/interns and Executive Director.
* In partnership with the Executive Director and the Marketing team, oversee external communication including flyers, newsletters, social media, and agency website in conjunction with Outlet staff * Assist with management of public relations and marketing efforts to youth, volunteers, donors, and community at large * Serve as an ambassador of the program at agency fundraising and donor appreciation events *QUALIFICATIONS:* *Required:* * 1-2+ years demonstrated experience with program development and evaluation * Experience with supervising staff, interns/trainees and volunteers * Experience with developing and managing budgets * *Deep understanding and knowledge of LGBTQ+ teen issues, culture, and experiences* * Experience working with and advocating for LGBTQ+ youth on an organizational or programmatic level * Ability to work with diverse people including adult volunteers, youth, and community members * Articulate and effective public speaker * Ability to think creatively and assist in new, innovative program development or expansion in response to the needs of LGBTQ+ youth in the Bay Area * Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills * Advanced computer skills/proficiencies in: email, the internet, Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Box and electronic health record (EHR)/database experience * Ability to create and maintain positive, productive working relationships * Ability to work independently and as a member of a team, manage multiple projects simultaneously, track details and the big picture, work proactively under pressure, and handle/maintain confidential records and issues appropriately * Sensitivity to cultural, social, socioeconomic, ethnic, gender, and sexuality issues * Ability and willingness to support expansion of programming into underserved communities.

*Highly Preferred:* * *Licensed or license eligible Psychologist, LMFT or LCSW* * Bilingual/Bicultural Spanish speaker *SALARY AND BENEFITS:* *Competitive starting salary depending on experience and licensure status.
