*JOB SUMMARY* We are looking for a friendly and outgoing *Host/Hostess* to join our restaurant team as our guests' first point of contact.
The Host/Hostess sets the tone of the restaurant and ensures that all guests have a positive experience as soon as they walk through the door.
In this position, you will greet guests, manage reservations, guide guests to their tables, and ensure a smooth flow of the restaurant.
Successful Candidates have a passion for customer service, strong communication and organizational skills and the ability to successfully perform in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
*HOST/HOSTESS RESPONSIBILITIES *include but are not limited to*:* * Greet all guests with a warm and cheerful demeanor upon arrival and departure * Provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting lists * Manage reservations * Follow table rotation and balance customer flow in server sections * Accommodate special seating requests for guests according to their preferences and group size * Escort customers to assigned dining or bar areas * Provide menus and announce Server’s name * Create a welcoming environment by engaging with guests throughout their dining experience * Maintain a clean and organized host stand and reception area * Inspect tables for proper presentation and completeness * Relay guest complaints to the Manager on duty and assist with the resolution * Be available to fill in as needed to ensure a smooth and an efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the Manager or immediate supervisor * Demonstrate the ability to remain calm and composed under pressure or when confronted with impatient or irate guests * Embody and deliver on exceptional service and hospitality *REQUIREMENTS* * 2 years of previous/relevant experience in a high-end, high-volume restaurant * Relevant certificates, licenses or registrations including a valid Food Handler Card *(Must have upon hire)* * Proficient in Microsoft Suites: Outlook, Word, Excel; Open Table and Restaurant POS System * Knowledgeable and compliant with health and safety regulations * Able to walk or stand for long periods * Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older * A positive attitude, excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic * Flexible schedule and availability to work daytime, evening and/or weekend shifts *BENEFITS* * Health Insurance * Dental Insurance * Vision Insurance * Employee Discount * Referral Program * Paid Training * Paid Time Off/Sick Days * Family Meals *If you have a passion for hospitality and aspire immense potential growth, we’d love to hear from you! *To learn more about Innovative Dining Group and our growing portfolio, please check out our company website at *www.
