Meta Reality Labs is seeking a Product Manager to help us unleash human potential by eliminating the bottlenecks between intent and action.
To achieve this, we’re building a practical neural interface drawing on the rich motor neuron signals that can be measured non-invasively with neuron-level resolution.
This is achieved via EMG (Electromyography) sensors worn on the wrist.
Our research and product work lies at the intersection of computational neuroscience, machine learning, signal processing, statistics, biophysics, motor learning, perceptual psychophysics, and human-computer interaction.
We’re looking for people who want to shape the future of this technology and are excited about joining our collaborative Neural Interfaces team.
As a Product Manager focused on EMG (Electromyography) Devices, you'll lead development of new devices including hardware and on device software, key new use cases, and guidance of the team through key program milestones.
You'll also be responsible for identifying and tracking key performance indicators, including adhering to a build schedule.
The ideal candidate is a highly organized individual with a passion for user experience and has professional experience building complex, user-centric hardware products with on-device AI.
They are also comfortable with high ambiguity inherent to new to world products and able to navigate this with engineers and execs to lead the team to success.
Product Manager, Devices Responsibilities: Own the development of new EMG devices, hardware components, and on device software Establish the mission and vision for your product winning buy-in across the company including with leadership by building consensus on strategies and priorities leading to product execution Identify immediate and/or upcoming user needs, then work with the team to develop a product plan that addresses them Manage hardware tradeoffs, spanning compute, battery, ergonomics, etc.
Partner with software and experience teams to deliver on key use cases.
Manage collaboration and communication with other teams, both internal and external, to ensure teams have what they need and can work efficiently.
Integrate usability studies, research and market analysis into product requirements to enhance user satisfaction Understand Meta’s strategic and competitive position to deliver products that are recognized as best in the industry and set strategies that span product generations Maximize efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm Minimum Qualifications: 5+ years product management experience or related industry experience with 2+ years of experience on hardware or lower layer software (system/ embedded / firmware/ etc).
Experience working on 1 or more products which required hardware development.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience working on user experience and human-computer interaction, especially involving novel inputs Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent knowledge.
Experience working in consumer electronic devices.
Experience working on 0 -> 1 hardware products.
Experience working with AI (Artificial Intelligence)/ ML (Machine Learning) running on resource constrained devices.
Experience delivering products with new technology introduction.
