JOB SUMMARY:
Ability to schedule, plan lead and control HPL-Apollo staff and third parties to make sure graveyard, day and swing shifts perform it's duties.
Responsible for managing of the Warehouse Operation, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of all products in and out of the warehouse.
Ensure efficient and quality handling of products for Air Freight domestic and international, ocean freight, air freight imports, cross docking, storage, Etc.
This is a hand-on-position that requires experience with all aspects of international freight forwarding plus experience with perishable products.
This operation is 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 52 weeks per year.
This Warehouse Supervisor position will report to the Warehouse Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.
Manage Warehouse Team
Directly supervise the following positions: Supervisors, Drivers, Lead Agents and Warehouse Agents including temporary workers.
Create schedule considering customer's needs while optimizing resources and minimizing overtime.
If necessary, use 3rd party trucking companies.
Communicate to Manager/Branch Manager if current staff is not enough to perform operations as requested and justify reasons why.
Ensure there is a good and safe work environment.
Assist with employee relations and/or conflict resolution.
Assist the Warehouse Manager/Branch Manager in preparing performance appraisals, provide input for counseling records and making decisions on disciplinary action if needed.
Monitor and respond to emails in a timely manner.
Deliver freight to airlines if necessary.
Assist in the operation as needed.

Quality of Service
Ensure all customers receive the standard of service that HPL-Apollo has promised to provide fulfilling the Standard Operations Procedures in all areas such as:
receiving, labeling, storing, screening, packing list, shipping, pre-cooling, order preparation and delivery
Ensure the cold chain is well protected so the products arrive to destination in the best possible condition.
Ensure loading of containers/ULD's is done properly and professionally so products arrive to destination in good condition and use of space has been optimized.
Ensure Products are sent to correct customer and destination.
Ensure temperature for products are taken when receiving or picking them up.
Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
Communicate all operational information to Supervisors.

Manage equipment and facility
Ensure care of fleet and trucks and forklifts.
Avoid damage to equipment and facility.
Ensure trucks do not run out of gas and/or forklifts out of power.
Ensure facility is always clean.
4.
Manage Airlines ULD's
Manage rotation of ULD's to avoid demurrage.
Ensure the appropriate number ULD's are available to make all cut off times.

TSA, Customs, USDA and Food Safety Compliance
Ensure Apollo's operations meet TSA guidelines 100%.

Minimum Requirements
Must provide proof of the legal right to work in the United States
Must have 2-4 years experience in Freight Forwarding and Perishables
Physical Demands/Working Environment
Will be required to work in cold storage areas as assigned.
Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
Stand and remain standing for periods up to 3 hours without sitting.
Tolerate moderate to loud levels of noise within the work environment.
May be required to work all of the following: irregular hours and/or shifts, holidays, weekends; overtime and extended hours.
