As an Advancement Manager: Events and Communications, you will:
Conceptualize, manage, and execute various events: fundraisers, donor appreciation events and community outreach programs.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination of logistics, budgeting, and timelines for all events.
Evaluate event success and provide recommendations for improvement based on feedback and analysis.
Attend local day and evening events, wellness fairs, and donor-related functions, representing CHC.
Develop and manage budgets for events and communication initiatives, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with organizational goals.
Track expenses and provide regular reports to assess the financial performance of events.
Work with the CHC Marketing department to develop and implement an engaging communication strategy for fundraising events.
Work closely with colleagues in different departments to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging and branding.
What we’re looking for:
3-5 years of proven fundraising event experience.
Proficient in Raisers Edge, Salesforce, Microsoft, Google, Canva, Classy and Asana.
Ability to multi-task effectively and demonstrate project management skills.
A cooperative and team-oriented attitude.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
About your background (education/experience);
Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, business, or related field.
Proven experience in event planning and execution.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and project management abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions:
Specific physical requirements can differ greatly depending on the job description.
An employee in this position may be required to occasionally travel to community engagement events or other CHC locations (San Jose and East Palo Alto).
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 20 lbs.
Special Job Requirements: Exempt full-time hybrid position at our Palo Alto site requiring 3 days per week in the office.
Flexibility required in work schedule (ability to work some evenings and weekends for CHC events).
Compensation:
Range: $95,000 to $118,000 per year
