As part of the Software Development team, the Associate Product Manager assists in promoting product adoption and best practices, as well as developing product concepts, designs, and enhancements that reflect user requirements and parallel overall business strategies.
This position conducts research and develops a good understanding of system and user needs, new technologies, trends in the market, and competitors.
The Product Manager also directly manages incoming requests and assists senior Product Managers in developing requirements documents, functional specifications, and mock-ups to clearly illustrate product ideas and concepts, as well as participates in all phases of the product development lifecycle, including analysis, design, testing, integration, and implementation.
Under direct supervision, the Associate Product Manager performs some combination of the following job functions:
Manages product configuration requests from internal stakeholders
Provides escalated product support to system users via phone and email
Assists in collecting business requirements related to software products
Assists in translating business requirements into system specifications
Attends meetings and takes notes
Assists in tracking product bugs and issues, as well as user feedback
Assists software developers to draft, proofread, and maintain documentation
Assists QA to conduct user acceptance and other testing activities when necessary
Understands established product rules of behavior and uses good judgment in identifying and reporting potential violations or suspicious activity
Complies with company policies and with applicable laws and regulations
Demonstrates professionalism in the workplace
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree is required
0-3 years of experience in a related field
Must be able to work on a cross-functional team to learn and apply commonly-used product management concepts, practices, and procedures
Primarily relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform job functions.
Typically works under direct supervision while gaining exposure to some complex tasks within the job function.

Hours:
This position will be required to work every Thursday from 6PM PST to 9PM PST.
Location:
This position is for the Burlingame, CA office.
