As the Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the execution of our ESG strategy, partnering with business colleagues and third party consultants to design and maintain ESG reporting and validation process.
An ideal candidate will have a proven track-record establishing and maintaining ESG reporting and communication strategies, serving as the point of contact for ESG-related inquiries from customers and vendors.
To be successful in this role, you will need strong project management, analytical and system skills, a partnership orientation for working with internal stakeholders and the ability to effectively manage communication with external stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
Collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization and third party consultants for ESG program design, implementation, evaluation, management, maintenance, and reporting:
Develop the scope for ESG reporting, outline reporting frameworks (e.
g.
GRI, SASB, ISS, MSCI, etc.
) & methodologies, and manage a project plan to drive timely completion and delivery, including internal and external communications
Respond to ESG-related inquiries from customers and vendors
Conduct ESG assessments and analytics, including emissions calculations (e.
g.
, GHG), complete data collection and due diligence questionnaires, track ongoing progress, and reporting
Continuously monitor and analyze key metrics and confirm relevancy and effectiveness of the program
Create internal tracking mechanisms and provide management updates on progress towards ESG goals and targets
Benchmark performance of Qualys against industry peers, leveraging reporting agencies’ findings
Prioritize opportunities to improve framework and ratings platforms scoring
Serve as a subject matter expert in ESG strategies, best practices, and reporting by maintaining awareness of industry trends and providing regular updates to involved parties
Conduct detailed quality control on the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of ESG information
Lead the research, evaluation, and implementation of technical innovations that may support the Company’s sustainability strategy and other critical business objectives in a cost effective manner
Support completion of other ad hoc projects as needed

Strong communicator, both written & verbal; reliable and responsive to email and phone communications; and
Highest level of integrity and good judgment, with the ability to effectively deal with highly sensitive, confidential information
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Sustainability, Climate Change, Risk Management, Energy or a related environmental or equivalent
Minimum 5 years of combined experience in ESG, auditing, and financial reporting
Sustainability certification (e.
g.
, GRI or SASB’s Fundamentals of Sustainability Accounting credential a plus) or certified public accountant (CPA) with relevant sustainability experience
Familiarity with ESG ratings (e.
g.
, MSCI, Sustainalytics, ISS, S&P)
Familiarity or experience in any of the following fields is preferred: sustainability target setting, carbon accounting, sustainable finance, ESG due diligence, climate scenario analysis, and / or ESG governance
Sound understanding of corporate sustainability risks for public, SaaS companies
