Job Description Gilead's mission is to discover, develop, and deliver therapies that will improve the lives of patients with life-threatening illnesses worldwide.
As an Associated Director, Commercial and Promotional Analytics - US Integrated Insights and Digital within Gilead’s Liver, COVID, and Emerging Therapies Integrated Insights team will be responsible for leading the customer analytics, promotional analytics, and advanced analytics for the Liver therapeutic areas.
The role will also participate in shaping the strategic roadmap for the US Analytics function across business units and will contribute by managing projects of significant complexity requiring cross-functional collaboration.
This role requires leveraging a broad and deep skill set (functional expertise, therapeutic area knowledge, communication skills, leadership and influencing, executive presence, etc.
) to help drive the success of work across a variety of key stakeholders – including Business Unit Executive Leaders, Brand Marketing and Managed Markets, Field Sales, Commercial Operations, Finance, Medical, and Global.
As the Associate Director, you will: Strategic Planning and Performance Tracking: Lead development of data-based insights to inform brand and business unit strategy.
Conduct analytics to inform various customer and consumer issues, including physician and patient segmentation, customer journey and treatment flow analytics, etc.
Leverage data and analytics to develop key insights to inform brand strategy through the annual BPOA (Brand Plan of Action) process.
Lead performance/KPI development and reporting, enabling a thorough understanding of brand opportunities based on various inputs.
Develop Marketing Mix models and influence optimal tactic spend.
Collaborate with teams on key forecasts, market research, and field-force insights and analytics.
Identify opportunities to integrate new capabilities from the AI/Predictive Analytics Lab.
Leverage nontraditional and innovative analytical approaches, such as new AI and predictive analytics techniques, to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of strategy and operations.
Evaluate potential new secondary data sources and analytics methodologies to elevate business analytics’ impact continually.
Actionable Insights: Lead the integration of insight and analysis from various sources to inform material decisions through the delivery of robust opportunities and market context.
Consolidate a variety of data and information into actionable brand opportunities.
Provide objective quantitative analyses and lead the development of business cases to determine key opportunities and address critical business issues for the brand and/or TA.
Deliver effective presentations of findings and recommendations to multiple levels of leadership through various communication channels Leadership, Influence, and Communication: Engage with a broad range of internal customers, including the VP, executive directors of brand, marketing team, and IT.
Establish and maintain business relationships in key segments of the Commercial organization and consistently demonstrate a thorough understanding of internal customers’ business needs.
Lead quarterly functional review with VP, Senior Director, and business unit stakeholders.
Manage external consulting resources from a project delivery perspective.

Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and Ten Years’ Experience OR Masters' Degree and Eight Years’ Experience OR PhD and Two Years’ Experience Preferred Qualifications: BA/BS degree with ten years of experience or MS/MBA with eight years of experience in commercial pharma and biotech analytics, data sciences, and digital technologies.
Strong commercial analytics and cross-functional management experience; advanced promotional analytics experience and consultant background desirable.
Proficiency in secondary data analysis with intimate knowledge of various industry secondary data sources, including IQVIA, SHA, MMIT, EMR, and Lab data.
Experience with Payer analytics and Managed Markets nuances, particularly in high Medicaid and Medicare businesses (340-B, etc.
).
Strong working knowledge of relevant software systems (e.
g.
, MS Excel, MS Word & PowerPoint, Tableau, etc.
) is required.
Demonstrated ability to gather insights from various sources and develop strategic guidance for brand teams that result in a business decision or action.

The salary range for this position is: $191,335.

Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
These considerations mean actual compensation will vary.
This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
