Job Title: Director of Accounting Operations
Location: Menlo Park California (Onsite 4 days per week)

Summit Activities:
We have in-licensed ivonescimab (SMT-112), which is a novel, potential first-in-class investigational bispecific antibody combining the effects of immunotherapy via a blockade of PD-1 with the anti-angiogenesis effects associated with blocking VEGF into a single molecule taking advantage of cooperative binding between the two.
We initiated multiple phase-III clinical studies in the following Lung cancer indications:
Ivonescimab combined with chemotherapy in patients with epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR)-mutated, locally advanced, or metastatic non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) who have progressed after treatment with a third-generation EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) (“HARMONi”)
Ivonescimab combined with chemotherapy in first-line metastatic squamous NSCLC patients (“HARMONi-3”)
Ivonescimab is an investigational therapy that is not approved by any regulatory authority.
It is currently being investigated in Phase III clinical studies.
Overview of Role:
The Director of Accounting Operations will manage accounting process, lead accounting close and financial audits.
Role and Responsibilities:
Lead accounting close process including but not limited to close calendar, leading close meetings, MD&A review and coordinating with external auditors and tax advisors.
Manage payroll, accounts payable and expense accrual processes.
Manage SAP administration and chart of accounts maintenance.
Manage Concur and fixed asset processes.
Manage tax compliance and provision review and VAT filings
Monitor the accuracy of the financial data and ensure that all transactions are properly recorded.
Collaborate cross functionally on finance programs and system implementation
Assist with Treasury, insurance renewal and other corporate functions as needed
Experience, Education and Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
Bachelors or Masters in Accounting
10 to 15 years of relevant experience.
Biotech industry experience preferred.
Clinical trial accrual experience preferred
An ability to work well cross functionally and across geographies
Impeccable integrity and a strong work ethic
Strong computer and database skills
Attention to detail, accuracy and confidentiality
Exceptional writing, communication, interpersonal & presentation skills
Excellent organizational, management, analytical & decision-making skills
An ability to influence, train, mentor and leverage the skills of others to achieve objectives

The pay range for this role is at the director level is $208,000 to $236,000 annually.
Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
The total compensation package for this position may also include bonus, stock, benefits and/or other applicable variable compensation.
The successful candidate will also be eligible for health benefits, 401(k) with 6% employer match from day one, ESPP with a 15% discount up to the federal limit, flexible spending account among other benefits compensation.
