Position: Project Manager
Location: Milpitas, CA
Duration: 11 Months
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for delivering projects that adhere to defined IS project processes and industry standard best practices.
Develop and manage project management plans, schedules and budgets and provide consistent and comprehensive project updates, ongoing cost analysis, risk and issue management and resolution.
Effectively direct, manage and control all project activities and deliverables, through all phases of the project lifecycle ensuring a successful delivery that is on time and within budget on all assigned projects.
Escalate functional, quality and timeline issues appropriately to ensure successful achievement of project goals and objectives.
Manage, monitor and track project-related costs, including budget variances.
Develop and maintain productive working relationships with external vendors, business partners and internal IS teams.
Keep project owners and sponsors well informed of progress and challenges.
Analyze and present updates regarding project performance, risks, issues, mitigation plans and change requests.
Support Program Managers or Senior Project Managers with the management of larger projects and/or programs.
Prepare and/or present documentation to Information Services Leadership Team and business stakeholders.
Ensure the security of Driscoll’s confidential and proprietary information and materials
Follow Company policies and practices.
Other duties as assigned.
Represent Driscoll’s in an ethical and business-like professional manner in all interactions with growers, co-workers, suppliers, customers, and the business community at large.
Requirements:
Require at least 5 years' progressive experience in project administration and management, preferably in a PMO (Program Management Office) environment.
Bachelor’s Degree in business, computer science or comparable field of study required
Preferred Qualifications & Leadership Competencies:
PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification considered a plus.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
Strong experience with MS (Microsoft) Office applications including ability to create visually pleasing and effective presentations.
Experience with the following project tools especially valued: ServiceNow SPM (Strategic Portfolio Management), JIRA, Microsoft Teams, Smartsheet, MS Projects or other project planning software.
Experience with meeting planning and facilitation.
Experience with vendor management and vendor selection (Requests for Proposal) highly valued.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to deal with ambiguity and lead through change.
