Job Description The Financial Planning & Analysis Manager will be responsible for providing financial planning analysis, and support for Guardant Health’s Biopharma, Screening and IT organizations.
The candidate will play a key role in Biopharma/Screening revenue forecast, monthly financials reporting, actual variance to forecast analysis, and supporting the business in budget and strategic/financial planning process.
This role will collaborate cross functionally with leaders in the business teams to provide forward-looking insights and assist in decision making for resource prioritization.
To be successful, the candidate will be a strong collaborator, with strong attention to detail and data analysis skills.
This role will report to the Sr.
Director, FP&A.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Partner with senior business leaders in Biopharma, Screening and IT organizations, providing robust monthly and quarterly financial transparency to support business decision making.
Drive quarterly forecast/annual budget and planning process for Biopharma, Screening and IT organizations, including Revenue, OpEx and headcount planning.
Develop weekly revenue forecast and ongoing analysis of actual compared to forecast/latest estimate.
Collaborate closely with Accounting and business teams on pricing and revenue recognition policy to accurately forecast Biopharma and Screening business revenue.
Work closely with Accounting team on monthly/quarterly close processes, analyze variances to forecast/latest estimate, and communicate findings to key stakeholders.
Communicate clear and concise business drivers behind financial data and collaborate with business teams to build actionable plans to achieve business goals.
Evaluate and assess key operational issues, risks and opportunities pertaining to budget, actuals, and forecast updates.
Advise solutions and alternatives where appropriate to business teams, including but not limited to resource prioritization, cost saving opportunities, etc.
Perform ad hoc analysis to support business decisions.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting; CPA or MBA a plus Minimum of 6 years of FP&A related experience, revenue forecast experience in diagnostics company a plus.
Strong relationship-building, collaboration, and communication skills.
Ability to effectively work with all levels of the organization, including senior leadership.
Data-oriented and consultative problem-solving mindset.
Strong analytical skills, with strong attention to detail.
Excel power user proficiency required.
Expertise in presentation tools such as Think-cell, PowerPoint, etc.
Experience with ERP and financial planning systems such as SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, etc.

For positions based in Palo Alto, CA or Redwood City, CA, the base salary range for this full-time position is $101,600 to $138,000.
The range does not include benefits, and if applicable, bonus, commission, or equity.
Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Employee may be required to lift routine office supplies and use office equipment.
Majority of the work is performed in a desk/office environment; however, there may be exposure to high noise levels, fumes, and biohazard material in the laboratory environment.
