Tesla is seeking an Associate Manager focused Vehicle Refurbishment & Quality within the Used Car Business.
This team is responsible for the >$X billion Tesla Used Vehicle business focused on the intake, refurbishment, and resale of all used Tesla and non-Tesla vehicles.
We are a team that constantly challenges the status quo to revolutionize the trade-in and used vehicle purchase experience.
In this role, you will play a lead role in shaping your business operation across the North America market.
You will be responsible for managing a unique team, optimizing business operations, and delivering on both short/long-term projects for the Used Car business.
This complex and multifaceted role requires exceptional executive level communication skills, demonstrated leadership experience, developed business acumen, and a track record of success in leading high-impact business priorities.
What You’ll Do Lead the execution of a large, high-revenue, multifaceted operational department that extends across North America, ranging in volume and regional complexities Own the primary role of ensuring attainment to vehicle completion targets, execution to Tesla standards, and the performance of the Quality team overall Lead and mentor a team of 15+ geographically distributed hourly and management staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
Provide direct coaching and KPI management in support of both individual and team goals Contribute to the development of quarterly strategic program planning which influences revenues exceeding $500 million per year and directly implement deliverables varying in size and complexity Identify and address systemic issues within the operational workflow while escalating critical opportunities or concerns to senior management.
Develop innovative solutions, lead implementation, measure success, and develop a cadence of continuous improvement Establish effective communication channels with stakeholders at all levels, both internal and external.
Cultivate and maintain strong partnerships to garner support on cross-functional business objectives.
Develop extensive knowledge of all applicable regulations across North America to ensure compliance.
Proactively adapt operations to account for regulatory changes while still meeting aggressive business goals What You’ll Bring 5-7+ years of post-graduate professional experience Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Operations, or equivalent experience Proven leadership and people management experience.
Strong business acumen and a track record of driving operational performance and profitability Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team Strategic thinker with the ability to forecast market trends, develop long-term plans, and execute them successfully.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven mindset Project and program management experience with the ability to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously.
