JOB DESCRIPTION: The Startup Program Lead's role is to partner with promising startups in order to enable and accelerate the success of these companies so they are prepared for mass scale and fast growth.
This will be accomplished by the Startup Program Lead aligning the appropriate Snowflake products, resources, and expertise to the customers specific requirements.
This role will require a mix of program management, relationship building, entrepreneurial thinking, business acumen, and venture capital knowledge.
The Startup Program Lead will partner closely with the different sales organizations across EMEA to drive the desired outcomes for our customers, partners, and Snowflake.
An important aspect of the role will be to develop lasting relationships with Venture Capital firms and Accelerators across your regions of responsibility as a way to generate consistent lead generation for the Startup Program.
AS A STARTUP PROGRAM LED YOU WILL: Engage with Founders, CxOs, Board of Directors and VC influencers to lead execution of coordinated go-to-market strategies Define and execute strategy for prospecting campaigns into top startups for your region(s) of focus (define messaging, track results) Manage and evolve the lead pipeline funnel from top VCs to Snowflake (demand generation initiative) Provide sales support for broader initiatives involving startups (e.
g.
- Snowflake’s Startup Challenge, Powered by Snowflake, Snowflake for Startup User Groups) Identify and manage relationships with selected tech-focused VC business development teams Own inbound startup applications that come in through the Startup Program landing page.
Lead presentations introducing the Startup Program to prospects and investment partners Engage in public speaking opportunities (Hosting Panels, User Groups, Thought Leadership etc.
) Partner with marketing to support startup case studies, blog posts, videos etc.
Develop content to drive adoption of the Startup Program internally - First-Call Decks, Email Templates, Best Practices Documents Define / manage internal communication plan for the Startup Programs - Compass, Monthly Newsletters, Deal Win-Wires Analyze customer feedback across programs to make recommendations into operational improvements / program enhancements Review all sales requests for companies to join the Startup Program - serve as the main approver for investment in the form of credits and / or partnering Own and drive the long-term customer success & consumption for strategic startups.
Monitor and report on customer consumption to the leadership team Identify under-consuming startups and provide resources to promote consumption.
Drive engagement from Venture Capital firms, startup incubators and startup founders.
Execute joint sales and GTM programs with select startups built on Snowflake Facilitate business relationships between Snowflake’s enterprise teams and startup customers when a potential fit is identified Partner with the Marketplace team on startups that would make for a quality data provider Drive sign ups for the Startup Challenge & review applications.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors degress in business, technology, engineering, finance or a related quantitative field 3+ years of sales, business development, strategic partnerships, sales leadership management, consulting or program/product management experience Experience working at a startup, investment firm, or startup program-focused role Excellent verbal and written communication skills Comfortable delivering results amid ambiguity and change PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Operational savviness, ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects simultaneously while focused on execution and results Experience working with technical teams to improve and build processes.
Demonstrated ability to work successfully cross-functionally and communicate effectively with senior leadership on program objectives, goals and metrics.
Demonstrate understanding and savviness of the startup space and common patterns of success for their portfolio companies Entrepreneurial “builder” mentality The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role: The estimated base salary range for this role is $150,000 - $210,000.
Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake’s bonus and equity plan.
The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
This role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401(k) retirement plan; flexible spending & health savings account; at least 12 paid holidays; paid time off; parental leave; employee assistance program; and other company benefits.
