Medical Biller

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Biller/Scheduler to join our team.
The Medical Biller will be responsible for accurately billing medical claims, ensuring timely reimbursement, and maintaining patient records.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical coding, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced medical office environment.
This is a full-time position, with 3 days likely being in Billing and 2 in Scheduling.
Responsibilities: - Review and analyze medical documentation to assign appropriate codes using ICD-10 and CPT coding systems - Ensure accurate and timely submission of medical claims to insurance companies - Follow up on unpaid claims and denials, identifying and resolving billing issues - Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility - Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers regarding billing inquiries or disputes - Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations - Collaborate with the medical office team to ensure accurate documentation and coding practices - Stay up-to-date with changes in medical coding guidelines and regulations Experience: - Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing or coding - Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures - Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical billing software - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing processes - Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment - Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively Job Type: Full-time Pay: $24.
