Revolution Medicines is a clinical-stage precision oncology company focused on developing novel targeted therapies to inhibit elusive frontier targets within notorious growth and survival pathways, with particular emphasis on RAS and mTOR signaling pathways.
Our experienced team of biologists and pharmacologists deploy this platform to validate frontier cancer targets, define sites on a target that could be drugged, and guide us toward precision medicines for cancer patients.
As a new member of the RevMed team, you will join other outstanding scientists who are helping lead our efforts in the discovery and development of new medicines for unmet needs in cancer.
The Opportunity: As a key player in our Cancer Immunology team, you will: Integrate a deep knowledge of tumor immunology and immunotherapy to guide identification of novel RAS pathway and other oncogenic pathway-targeted therapies and inform patient selection for monotherapy and combination therapy strategies.
Use immunology techniques to perform cutting-edge studies, in vitro and in vivo, to interrogate key scientific questions about established or candidate drug targets and therapeutic mechanisms.
Lab-based role: Independently design and execute experimental strategies, using cellular and molecular immunological techniques, to investigate target biology and therapeutic mechanisms of action in in vivo immuno-oncology models.
Collaborate with biochemists, cell biologists and pharmacologists and other members of the RevMed team to generate novel insights that fuel drug development as a member of a cross-functional project team.
Manage and analyze experimental data and present experimental results at internal meetings and scientific conferences.
Required Experience, Skills, and Education: PhD.
degree in immunology, cancer biology or a related discipline with demonstrable track record of excellence in investigating intracellular cell signaling in cancer cells and immune cells.
Understanding immune cell transcriptional and epigenetic signatures.
Deep understanding of tumor immunology and/or immunotherapy.
Familiarity with bioinformatic analysis is strongly desirable.
Rigorous, quantitative, and detail-oriented scientist with a desire to take on laboratory-based and bioinformatic analysis roles.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong track record of research productivity as evidenced by high-quality, impactful publications.
Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize options, anticipate challenges, and execute on goals as a member of an interdisciplinary team is extremely important.
Thrives in a collaborative team setting and is driven by a desire to deploy innovative approaches and technologies in a high energy start-up environment.
Preferred Experience, Skills, and Education:: Hands-on experience in ‘state of the art’ immunology techniques including multi-parameter flow cytometric analyses, functional immune cell assays, cell biology and molecular biology.
Understanding of the mechanisms of immunogenic cell death would be highly beneficial.
Hands-on experience with in vivo cancer models.
Experience with T cell engagers is highly beneficial.
