POSITION SUMMARY The Facilities Technician performs maintenance and repairs of Channing House buildings and property.
Together with the entire team at Channing House, your role contributes to promoting a healthy and vibrant home for our residents.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES This position will be responsible for, but not limited to the following essential duties and responsibilities: General Responsibilities – 100% of job duties Perform a variety of tasks including but not limited to electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, swimming pool maintenance, facilities and safety inspections.
Perform variety semi-skilled tasks including the operation of power tools used in building improvements and maintenance of equipment.
Adhere to schedule of routine maintenance for all equipment within the facility Maintain associated records through the work order system Oversee outside vendors and provide assistance when needed Work with Facilities Manager to keep shop well organized and inventoried Provide excellent customer service to residents Assist and supports all policies, goals and objectives of the Facilities Department Responds to emergency service calls and makes repairs or communicates to Facilities Manager to call out a repair vendor Inspects Channing House facilities and equipment to determine their proper utilization and maintenance Ensure adherence and compliance with safety laws and regulations and inspects tools and equipment for condition and proper use.
JOB REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, a person must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Years of Related Professional Experience: 3-5 years of related work experience.
Educational/Position Requirements: High School diploma or GED Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted Required Licenses/ Certifications/ Background: Background in fire/life safety, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems desired.
