Job Description
Manager, Biostatistics – Inflammation
United States – Washington – Seattle (or California – Foster City)
Biostatisticians work collaboratively with internal and external colleagues to ensure appropriate design, statistical analysis and reporting of Gilead clinical data in efficiently achieving regulatory, scientific and business objectives.
Key Skills
Strong analytical, problem solving and system analysis skills including the ability to comprehend complex issues and related data/information and present information in concise meaningful ways.
Working knowledge of statistical software packages including SAS and R.
Ability to perform complex statistical analyses based on the design of study.
Ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Job Responsibilities
Work collaboratively with Statistical Programmers, Biostatisticians, Clinical Operations, Clinical Data Managers and other Clinical, Global Drug Safety, Regulatory and Project Management staff to meet project deliverables and timelines for statistical data analysis and reporting
Perform simulations and ad-hoc statistical analysis
Collaborate with data management team and clinical operations team to align statistical analysis plan with data collection procedures and forms
Develop and review SAP, including table/figure/listing shells
Understand and apply regulatory guidelines and industry standards practices
Participate in regularly scheduled meetings that require statistical input
Education and Experience
3-5 years of industry experience in the statistical analysis of biomedical data and a MS degree in Biostatistics or equivalent
0-2 years of industry experience in the statistical analysis of biomedical data and an PhD degree in Biostatistics or equivalent
The salary range for this position is: $149,600.

Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
These considerations mean actual compensation will vary.
This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
