This position is located at Vandenberg Space Force Base, California.
This position is not eligible for telecommuting.
Essential Functions
Plan, coordinate, configure and control all operations and maintenance for Pillar Point Telemetry Station with minimal supervision
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on the Telemetry Systems
Troubleshoot electronic hardware to the component level and entire subsystems within the Telemetry system
Operate several Telemetry systems such as the 40’ and 44’ Antenna systems, Receiver Stations, Recorder Stations, Wideband Recorders, Mixers, Strip Chart Recorders, TGRS, PDTS and TGRS Wideband Recording System
Isolate system faults to the lowest repairable unit and work complex problems in the Telemetry system
Train all lower-level Technicians
Schedule operations and forecast schedule for ops and maintenance.
Review, update and execute all critical launch documentation to include:
Operations Directives (OD’s)
Range Safety Operational Requirements (RSOR)
Integrated Countdown Document (ICD)
Data Distribution Listing (DDL)
Ensure onsite implementation and adherence to established RGN safety standards and practices
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills
Good analytical and problem-solving skills

Proficiency in reading schematics and logic circuitry diagrams
Required Experience
Associate degree or two-year certificate from college or technical school with related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and training
Seven years related technician experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook)
Experience providing operating and maintaining command transmitter equipment preferred
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Able to work at heights up to 50 feet
Able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 lbs.
Able to sustain prolonged periods of standing, kneeling and or repeated stooping
The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.
S.
citizenship or U.

naturalization

The hourly rate for this role is determined by a Collective Bargaining Unit and ranges from $43.
