40 Per Hour - Wage dependent on experience and geographic location State California Department Sustainability City: San Carlos Location: 1073 - Recology San Mateo County Subsidiary Name: Recology San Mateo County ROLE Working under general supervision compiles information from multiple sources to analyze, develop and present SB1383 metrics and initiatives through monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES • Helps ensure successful development and execution of SB1383 projects and initiatives through project management, data analysis and reporting.
• Develops and presents various standard reports by Jurisdiction i.
e.
, SB1383 waivers and route audit, site checks performed, public education statistics, other outreach and education contractual obligations.
• Tracks and analyzes historical account data to develop trend analysis of Member Agencies’ service levels, outreach & education activities, and specific diversion reports for commercial customers.
• Creates, modifies, and runs queries to extract applicable information needed to create metric reports including customer account data, route data, and recycling programs management to ensure contract compliance.
Review reports with management.
• Contributes to the analysis and monitoring of commercial account data including, SB1383 system categorization, services level subscriptions and Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) codes, by lines of business, to provide diversion statistics to senior management, and Member Agencies.
Ensures that SIC codes and supporting account information are updated regularly.
Provides analysis of public education needs, based upon the diversion statistics of commercial and Multi-Family Dwelling customers.
• Works with management to solicit, compile, analyze, document, communicate, and validate SB1383 requirements and requests for information.
Ensures report development is in support of business strategies and diversion goals.
• Assists with the project management plan for deliverables necessary to fulfill SB1383 reporting compliance and Public Education Plan, monthly, quarterly, and annual Reports.
• Represents Recology and Waste Zero Team activities at internal and external functions.
• Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying.
A typical way to qualify is: • Two years' experience running and creating query reports (e.
g.
, Showcase, Crystal Reports) • High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Technical and professional principles, practices, laws, applications, and programs in position related area.
• Current developments and trends in areas of expertise.
• Advanced Computer programs, including Microsoft Office suite of applications especially excel (e.
g.
, formula calculations, pivot tables and other advanced analytical techniques).
• Detail oriented with ability to prioritize.
• Analytical thinking skills and statistical knowledge.
• Oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to think conceptually and research when needed.
• Driver’s license required.
