2009 Honda Metropolitan.
50cc Gas Engine.
Mod plastic bodywork, complete with chrome and two-tone paint onto a tube-steel chassis.
Comes with two helmet.
The Metropolitan is lightweight at 176 pounds full of fluids.
It has the lowest seat of this class scooter.
It is “cheery” and unthreatening, making it ideal for novice and smaller riders.
The 49cc four-stroke Single, 18mm carburetor propels its rider to around 40 mph on level ground.
That may be a little too slow for major thoroughfares, but the good fuel economy .
I used it to commute to the train station and for fun with the kids.
We are moving and are not taking it with us.
It’s cosmetically a little dinged up.
-The seat is weathered from sitting in the sun.
-Needs a new starter and/or battery.
Perfect for a tinkerer.
If you choose to bring it in for repairs it would cost~$500.
Kelly Blue Book says it’s worth ~$1,400.
This is a no brainer if you’re in the market for a 50cc gas scooter.
