Hi, my name is Ash (they/she, 24 y/o) and I’m currently looking for a studio, in-law unit, or 1BR 1B apartment for me and my emotional support animal– Bliss.
We would prefer lots of privacy but are also open to a room for rent with cat-friendly and quiet housemates.
A washer and dryer in-unit is preferred but not required.
Ideally, my budget is about $1000 a month for a solo space and $600-$800 for a private room.
I’m looking for a place to call home in Oakland, Alameda, Berkeley, or Emeryville that is near public transit.
I need to move out of my current place by March 1st (just before my birthday), so the ideal move-in date would be sometime in February.
About me: I’m currently working for a non-profit organization called “DrawBridge,” as a Youth Art Facilitator serving unhoused youth in Oakland and Alameda.
I also work as a Community Engagement Intern, Organizer, and Healer for the Freedom Community Clinic in Oakland.
I spend a lot of time writing poems, daydreaming, and singing.
I’m also a performance artist, budding filmmaker, and reiki practitioner.
I enjoy my privacy, but I’m also what you would call an “extroverted-introvert.
” My intention with living with others is to have a peaceful home with direct communicators.
I’m a free-spirited individual open to healing others and myself (aka, a Pisces sun).
About Bliss: She is a needy cat who loves playing and cuddling.
She’s 3 years old and full of energy but we’re good about balancing that.
She prefers fewer people around and to get to know others over time.
She doesn’t do well with other cats but loves going outside to hang out.
Bliss would prefer a solo living space, but if she has to be around other humans– she will learn to love you.
