Hi there!
I'm Alex, a really nice and hard-working gay guy looking for a new living situation in SF.
I’ve lived in SF for 32 years and have been the master tenant of a large flat in Hayes Valley since 2007.
I have great roommates and an awesome landlady who adores me.
I’m very lucky! I have a good job and everything is nice and stable.
The problem is that I live on busy Oak Street.
My place always smells of car exhaust and there is black dust on the windowsills.
At this stage of my life, I think more about the negative health effects of such polluted air.
I’d love to live somewhere with better air but when I look at ads for rooms, they are tiny or very expensive or on the remote edges of the city.
I’m hoping to connect with someone who has a great place and who sees that I have unique qualities that would make me the best person to bring into their home.
A bit about me:
~ 50-year-old gay guy, young at heart
~ Manager at a medical education nonprofit
~ I don’t drink or smoke.
I had fun in my youth and now prefer peace
~ Friendly but respectful, very clean, independent
~ I have a knack for languages, technology
When I'm not working, I watch movies, do yoga, visit with friends, or ride my bike around the city.
I love music, but also love fancy headphones and a peaceful home.
I enjoy making art and doing animation.
I'm very clean and courteous, and have always lived with roommates, so I know how to get along with people and communicate without drama.
My ideal is kind of a "family" vibe, warm and supportive but we give each other space when needed.
I have allergies to incense and strong artificial scents.
Ideally, the place for rent would have:
~ A large room for me
~ Hardwood floors
~ Laundry onsite and grocery near by
~ A safe place for my bicycle
I work for a medical education nonprofit that is stable but underfunded so my budget cap for rent is $1200.
Of course I would pay my share for utilities as well.
If you are an entrepreneur or business owner, I would be happy to use my many professional skills for your benefit to make up for cheaper rent.
I have excellent references and no pets, although I love animals.
Please get in touch if you think we'd be a match.
Most people think I'm a pretty awesome guy and I get along with everyone.
I will be putting out the word to my friends that I am looking for a place, but Craigslist has always been a stellar resource for me so it made sense to post here, too.
Thanks very much for reading!
Alex
