Hi, looking for shared living July 1: Kind of a long story but 46 years old and moving to SF on July 1 to begin job as entry level electrical engineer in FiDi on July 15.
I enjoy coliving and co-op style housing, given it’s a good fit.
I think living with others makes me a better and more balanced person.
Obviously no smokers or heavy drinking or any kind of drugs etc.
I try not to judge but I do NOT consider myself “420 friendly”.
I don’t care for the smell of incense or essential oils.
I do wear Angel perfume.
I’m always trying to eat out less and cook more at home.
So I would like to live in a space with a reasonably sized kitchen where everyone feels comfortable to cook.
I do eat animal products, including wild venison.
I try not to be too fanatical or dogmatic about any kind of food.
We pool our money for food and take turns grocery shopping where I live right now.
And one of us is the Costco shopper (that’s me!).
We have dinner together once a week.
The pooling of money for food is definitely the most contentious topic in our household so my next living situation doesn’t have to be exactly the same but I don’t want to be living in a boarding style place where we’re all strangers and separate fridges etc.
Of course I want everyone to feel ok with cocooning in their room for the week if they need to.
I’m a true ambivert.
I treat any home as if it were my own—with respect and care.
I’m quiet, and I have many sets of headphones and custom ear plugs.
A low key dinner party about once a year sounds divine.
Mostly, I don’t have time or energy for much of anything other than work and working out.
Right now, I’m addicted to either surfing Craigslist or watching TV or listening to podcasts at the end of the day.
I’m a pickle baller and hiker on the weekends.
I also love movies, TV and books.
I have awesome reviews written about me on AirBnB from when I was both a guest and a host.
And of course I have many other references, and I’m open to background checks etc.
I do not have pets.
If you dust and vacuum a lot, I’m ok with a short haired cat or small dog.
Snake or bat should stay in your room.
I love fish.
I HATE cleaning tanks.
lol.
I have a boyfriend in Palo Alto.
He lives with his 82 year old mom.
It would be great if he could stay over on weekends but this isn’t a deal breaker.
1800/month is likely max budget.
$1K or less is ideal.
I’ll have to work in the office at least 3 days a week.
If I can find housing near the office I’ll aim for 5 days a week.
I work out in the morning before work and usually shower in the morning.
I don’t cook a lot of food in the morning — only coffee.
Also, you don’t need to be a “professional” to live with me.
If you’re in the hospitality business or musician, or student, or work crazy hours, I’ve been there, and I can relate.
As long as we’re all quiet at home and have our own space, and are decent and kind people, I think a community-based life is an amazing privilege and wonderful opportunity.
Would hope this goes without saying but obviously LGBTQ+ friendly LI profile available upon request.
Would love to live with people about my age.
