Draeger's Supermarkets, Inc in San Mateo is seeking 2 part-time Grocery Stockers.
This position is responsible for stocking and displaying grocery products and the dairy case while providing outstanding customer service.
This position reports to the Store Director.
*Stocking Clerk Duties and Responsibilities (includes the following but not limited to):*
* Stocks rotates, merchandises, and faces products according to department procedures.
* Receives product deliveries, ensures order and invoice accuracy and notes discrepancies.
* Checks to ensure all grocery items are merchandised attractively as per quality standards.
* Maintains and organizes back-stock and warehouse storage areas according to department standards.
* Adheres to all guidelines about product recommendations and information.
* Communicates grocery needs, adjustments, and problems to grocery manager promptly and efficiently.
* Maintains a safe and cleanly work environment in accordance with department, state and federal regulations
* Performs light cleaning duties such as sweeping, dusting, and packaging disposal as necessary
* Works with colleagues as a team; maintains a positive attitude and a willingness to help others
* Performs other duties as required or assigned
*Stocking Clerk required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:*
* Knowledge of grocery products, both shelf stable and perishable, and proper rotation skills.
Able to work in various environments, wet, cold, etc.
* Possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with customers, other team members, and leadership.
* Able to lift 40-50 pounds.
* Familiar with the operation of hand trucks, pallet jacks, and walk-behind forklifts.
* Able to work a variety of shifts, weekends, evenings, and holidays.
This shift is primarily overnight hours.
