The Walmart Marketplace is a curated community of respected, professional sellers who offer only top-quality, authentic products and best-in-class customer service.
The Sr Manager, Marketplace Strategic Initiatives will be responsible for driving and delivering key growth, planning and process improvement initiatives across the Marketplace segments.
You will build strong relationships and close partnerships with cross-functional stakeholders from Product Management, Operations, Merchandising and Site to drive business growth and create frictionless seller experiences.
You will analyze the market and competitive landscape and identify strategic opportunities that create shared value for sellers, customers and Walmart.
You will lead the development and management of the operational plan and provide ongoing analysis of sales, margin and inventory trends to support strategic and financial objectives.

Manage specific features, functionalities and tooling enhancements through the development of business cases, product requirements and overall project management.
Delivering data-driven insights: Develop insightful market and business intelligence including industry trends, competitive threats, category/assortment opportunities, etc.
and advise the Hardlines MP leadership team on strategic implications and actions.
Implementing new processes and ways of working: Build effective ways of working across teams and drive collaboration and coordination across functions.
Identify opportunity areas that create efficiency, remove obstacles and improve business processes.
Managing the operating plan: Create best practices around category and seller business reviews, track/report financial performance, and work with the Merchandise Operations on ongoing planning activities.
Advocating for the platform : Champion and evangelize our platform, and its evolving capabilities, to our Marketplace sellers and internal stakeholders.
Drive awareness and adoption of new seller services including Walmart Fulfilment Services (WFS), Walmart Connect and more.
Developing Talent : Manage, coach and train a team of high-performing Associates in the development and execution of strategic initiatives.
Minimum Qualification: Bachelor's degree in business or related field or equivalent experience in business or related field Preferred Qualifications: 10+ years of successful merchandising, strategy and planning, project management or eCommerce experience.
3+ years demonstrated experience managing a team.
Strong analytical skills with deep experience across sales planning and forecasting, business performance analyses, market sizing and business case development.
Ability to distill complex business issues and strategies to highlight insights and actionable recommendations in a concise and persuasive manner.
Demonstrated ability to work as part of a cross-functional team to drive business positive outcomes.
Assertive, adaptable and demonstrates initiative in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
