Are you interested in building and scaling inventory management and forecasting mechanisms for the future of Walmart Fulfillment Services? In this role you will be shaping the future of Walmart Fulfillment Services fulfillment network.
This will include inventory planning, inventory optimization, as well as operational forecasting and execution as WFS continues to grow it's fulfillment network of 20+ fulfillment centers.
The Manager, Advanced Analytics is a critical thought-leadership role that helps to scale the future of inventory management and forecasting as WFS adds thousands of new sellers and expands to numerous fulfillment and inbound consolidation centers.
This role will be responsible for improving inventory health through data modeling and creative problem solving.
Additionally, the role will include forecast management and inventory allocation optimization, which will rely on advanced analysis and automation to effectively scale day to day operations.
This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams including Supply Chain Strategy and Operations, Account Management, Product Management and more.
The right candidate must be able to thrive and succeed in a startup environment.
This role is built for a creative problem solver with strong analytics and data modeling skills.
Communication and storytelling will also be a crucial part of this role as you work with Senior Leadership and other key stakeholders.
You'll sweep us off our feet if Creative problem solver: someone who can operate with minimal direction.
Constantly monitoring the business, identifying new opportunities and proposing creative solutions.
Will ask the right questions and think about how to solve the problem with limited resources available.
Knowing when to trade off long term outlook for short term wins and vice versa.
Model Development: This candidate will require a strong analytics and data science background and a deep understanding of how to apply this in the supply chain field.
Storytelling with Data: helps to prepare and deliver simple and compelling data driven presentations to communicate analytical stories to cross-functional partners (e.
g.
, software engineering, account management) to gain buy-in and typically present work up to both senior leadership in analytics.
Continuous Improvement- ; develops the framework of performance tracking and drives the continuous improvement of models/algorithms.
Collaboration- This candidate will partner closely with Supply Chain, Account Management, Product Management and other stakeholder partners to optimize operations and grow the WFS business.
You'll make an impact by : Managing and optimizing inventory health; this includes increasing in-stock % and reducing excess inventory.
Responsible for both analysis and strategy development in these key areas.
Inventory Allocation - managing seller and inventory allocation across the fulfillment center network and consolidation centers.
Developing and driving the strategy of how to allocate inventory throughout the network to reduce cost and improve seller & customer experience.
Forecasting - This candidate will manage a segment of the WFS Fulfillment Center forecast process.
This includes inbound, outbound, cube capacity, returns and more forecasts that are required to operate the WFS business.
Optimizing processes as the network continues to expand and increased accuracy and automation is required.
Ops Partnership & Execution- responsible for communication to supply chain teams and partnering with operations on new site launch and exit strategy and execution.
Requires advanced analysis to identify building requirements, inventory transfer opportunities etc.
Stakeholder management will be crucial as you execute work across multiple teams.

The annual salary range for this position is $104,000.
00-$202,000.
