About the Role:
The Business Development Senior Specialist – Data and Technology Transactions and Emerging Companies is an integral part of Latham’s Business Development team.
This role will be responsible for developing and managing a coordinated Business Development strategy that utilizes innovative channels to generate leads and drive, while developing and maintaining in-depth knowledge of practice, market and industry expertise, client mix, matter experience, trade groups, and media.
This role will be located in either our San Francisco, Silicon Valley, or Boston office.
Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.
Responsibilities & Qualifications:
Other key responsibilities include:
Providing research, analyzing, and reporting to support the identification and development of new clients and the enhancement of existing client relationships
Partnering with multiple teams, including our Industry Group Leads, Practice Development Managers, Brand & Communications, and Events teams to ensure DTT and ECG strategies are incorporated into all client-facing initiatives
Building strong relationships with the partners, counsel, and associates across each practice to establish a role as trusted advisor
Contributing to cross-selling and client targeting initiatives working with partners, counsel, associates, and Practice Development and Industry Managers

Have well-developed and professional interpersonal skills
Possess the ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels and superb project management skills
Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills
And have:
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field
Previous experience in Business Development/Marketing, preferably in a law firm with Corporate and/or Finance experience
