Salary Range: $85000 - $90000 / year
The position will assist our 2 beautiful properties: newly built Hyatt Centric Mountain View and newly renovated Hilton Garden Inn Palo Alto.
The salary ranges from $85,000 to $90,000 per year with the eligibility for the incentives plan.

AREA CATERING SALES MANAGER
What will you be doing most days?
Solicit new accounts and maintain and strengthen relationships with existing accounts
Generate a minimum of 50 calls weekly encompassing telemarketing, site inspections, and outside field calls with weekly documentation
Responsible for prospecting, qualifying, selling, and closing
Meet with or call individual, corporate, and social clients by telephone to solicit annual, weekday, and weekend business
Meet with clients and conduct a professional, thorough site inspection of the hotel with them exhibiting the key features and benefits of the hotel
Develop and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients
Develop client menus, write contracts and letters, as well as, organize all other arrangements as they relate to social and corporate events
Work to continuous meet or exceed sales goals
Supervise and attend the overall set up and implementation of events and meetings
Take full ownership of all functions such as processing payment
Provide prompt guest service and timely follow up with prospective clients
Participate as a team player with other key leaders and demonstrate hospitable behavior as a role model for all other team members
Develop full working knowledge of the operations of the Catering Events, including Food and Beverage Department, Guest Services, and Housekeeping

Physical Requirements for this Position
This is primarily a sedentary role; however, at times it can be a physically demanding position.
You must be comfortable standing, sitting, walking, bending, lifting, and squatting for extended periods of time.
Travel Requirements
This position may require up to 30% travel.
Travel could be locally, as well as, outside the local area.
