Manager, Global Partner Development
San Mateo, CA / Hybrid
Reporting into the Head of Independent Partners, the Manager of Global Partner Development will be responsible for leading the small but mighty Global Partner Development team .
This role and team supports a large and growing set of independent partners of various scales, as well as identifying new and emerging partners.
They will work across Account Management, Portfolio, Onboarding, Partner Training and Help Center teams, advising these partners on how best to achieve their business goals with Sony Interactive Entertainment.
Partner happiness is key, and as the first line of contact for a broad set of Independent partners, you and your team will set the tone for positive working relationships and ensure a good impression.
You will nurture preferred partner relationships and help grow our business.
The Global Partner Development Manager role will require a keen eye for quality content and partners to be able to identify new titles that have strategic or commercial attributes and advocate for projects that could be candidates for more formal opportunities.
This role will be present at trade shows and developer events around the world representing PlayStation.
Responsibilities:
Leads Partner Development team supporting a broad set of indie partners
Responsible for responding to prospective "new to PlayStation" partners as well as proactive outreach to unregistered partners to solicit bringing their quality content to PlayStation platforms.
Define ways of working cross-functionally in supporting the business with the scale of partners, via advocating and championing the creation of Pitch submission & triage tools to support our partners and teams
Works with business operations teams (onboarding, training, help center) to support, educate and direct partners to systems and tools that can efficiently resolve inquiries in a scalable way.
Leads a team to identify and advance quality independent partner content, at scale, to the Portfolio team.
This responsibility includes continuing to improve the process for partners and internal collaborators.
Measures success in supporting new content and partners on the platform
Finds opportunities to streamline and improve process around supervising new leads
Helps new partners through the onboarding process
Participates in the process for scouting new content and partners at trade shows and developer events
Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in Business or Marketing, or commensurate experience.
8+ years in an external partner facing position (e.
g.
sales, account management, partner relations).
Communication, presentation and relationship management skills at all levels.
Negotiation and facilitation skills.
Extensive games development and publishing experience, or comparable media / entertainment / technology industries.
Regional market expertise with commercial competence and critical thinker
Data literate and globally minded
Domestic and International travel required
