Overview: Overview: As a Lead Maintenance Technician at The Peninsula Regent, you’ll provide routine and spontaneous building maintenance services for our 200+ Members and help out our other departments in making sure operations run smoothly.
Some of the duties include: Clean and repair building fixtures including lights, locks, windows, doors, screens, walls, floors, gutters and drains.
Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that building systems operate efficiently and that the physical condition of buildings do not deteriorate.
Perform maintenance tasks such as carpentry, painting, plumbing and electrical repairs to ensure that the building is properly maintained.
We’re a 365/24/7 business – so we’re looking for someone with availability in afternoons/evenings and NOC to independently work on ongoing projects, perform general inspections, monitor building systems and handle Members requests even if they arise after normal business hours.
Just because we’re 365/24/7 doesn’t mean you have to be – this position won’t have any on-call duties! As part of the daily preventative maintenance plan, perform a variety of duties including drywall and wood repair and light painting.
Clean and organize respective areas as assigned.
Perform minor repairs and basic maintenance to general electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems and equipment.
Provide response to community alarms and emergencies as directed.
May provide “first responder” duties to building alarms and emergencies in conjunction with security team and local agencies.
Be knowledgeable of emergency procedures and act in a calm manner in the event of an emergency.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Equipment, machine, or manual skills required: General understanding of HVAC and the refrigeration cycle, Skills in the operation, repair, and maintenance of shop equipment and tools Equipment installation and basic understanding of other trades acquired through similar on-the-job training.
Certified pool operators (CPO) license or certification preferred.
Ability to use ladders and basic hand tools.
Ability to read and understand labels.
Good oral and written communications skills.
Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
