The R&D Process Control Specialist will lead process validation and verification, troubleshoot process issues, and conduct plant trials for optimal product quality and throughput, in coordination with the cross-functional team.
This position is an exempt, full-time and fully benefited position, and reports to the Director of R&D.
*Responsibilities*
* Lead and support process validation, verification, troubleshooting.
* Define process control points and settings in standard operating procedures.
* Conduct process training with technical and operation teams.
* Liaison with operation team to ensure manufacturing compliance with process specifications.
* Monitor emerging technologies for opportunities in new process development and optimization.
* Work with vendors on troubleshooting issues in process, new equipment evaluation, and commissioning.
*Qualifications*
* Bachelor of Science in Food Science or equivalent required.
* Three (3) plus years of full-time food industry experience required.
* In-depth knowledge of food manufacturing and equipment.
* Ability to effectively communicate with Operations and rally support for process testing.
* Demonstrated skills in project management and cross functional coordination.
* Innovative, self-starter, and able to multitask.
* Well organized and pays attention to detail.

* Able to walk and stand long term in plant production environment.
* Able to travel up to 20%.
* Capable to routinely lift 50 lbs.
