Job Title: Part-Time Bookkeeper, Construction Administration Assistant, and CFO
Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and organized Part-Time Bookkeeper, Construction Administration Assistant, and CFO (Chief Financial Officer) to join our construction office team.
The ideal candidate will oversee all financial aspects of our business operations, including bookkeeping, construction administration, and strategic financial planning.
This role requires a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, proficiency in financial software, and the ability to provide high-level financial guidance to support our company's growth and success.
Responsibilities:
* Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and customer invoicing.
* Conduct bank reconciliations and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
* Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, including petty cash, expenses, and receipts.
* Prepare and process payroll in accordance with company policies and regulations.
* Generate financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
* Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes to support financial planning efforts.
* Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management, including financial analysis, risk assessment, and recommendations for improving profitability and efficiency.
* Oversee tax planning and compliance, including timely filing of tax returns and payments.
* Communicate effectively with vendors, clients, and internal stakeholders to resolve any financial discrepancies or issues.
* Provide administrative support for construction projects, including document management, scheduling, and coordination of meetings.
* Assist in maintaining project files, contracts, and correspondence with subcontractors and suppliers.
* Coordinate with project managers and field staff to ensure accurate and timely reporting of project expenses and progress.
* Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information and adhere to company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role, preferably in the construction industry.
* Proficiency in accounting software (e.
g.
, QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
* Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
* Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Experience in a CFO or senior financial management role is preferred.
* A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is advantageous but not required.
* Knowledge of payroll processing and tax regulations is preferred.
* Experience in construction administration or related field is advantageous.
* Reliable and trustworthy with a high level of integrity.
