Job Summary & Responsibilities: The Infrastructure and Cloud Engineering team within the Information Technology department at Nevro Corp.
manages critical infrastructure technology.
The team is responsible for the design, operations, and support of a wide range of technologies, including backup and archive, data management, support of compute, storage systems and core server infrastructure, and all related technical support.
The IT Manager’s role will lead technical teams that partner with stakeholders, systems and application engineers, and technology leadership on the design and implementation of foundational infrastructure services.
Work with team members to drive overall direction and create short and long term vision for the team’s areas of responsibilities.
Support of enterprise server infrastructure, storage and computer systems Cloud systems and services backend Systems monitoring Data management, backup and disaster recover Maintain and improve security for areas of responsibility in collaboration with the Security Team Keep track of various team projects, oversee delegation of efforts across different roles Provide mentoring to systems engineers, systems administrators and support roles on the team, ensuring a path of growth for each team member.
Achieve and maintain a working high-level knowledge of the technology and technical workflows.
Oversee creation of relevant technology budgets each year, covering all major initiatives, renewal of equipment, expansion, and disposition.
Work with the team to keep track of all service contracts, maintenance schedules and other important timelines for equipment and services.
Manage and maintain relationships with 3rd party vendors, consultants and industry representatives.
Mange installations, upgrades and configurations of hardware and software.
Resolves issues escalated by technicians and engineers.
Oversee planning, design, implementation, testing, and operation of cyber security processes and systems.
Other duties as assigned.
#LI-SO1 Role Requirements: 7+ years of relevant IT experience The ability to build and maintain a cohesive team and to manage direct reports effectively.
This includes the ability to coach and develop the team.
Solid technical background with an ability roll up sleeves to support the team and also to give instructions to both technical and non-technical audiences O365, AWS and Jira experience 5-7+ years of Life Sciences experience, particularly in Medical Device and/or Pharma with exposure to Commercial Operations, Medical and Patient Services related projects Customer Service oriented with in-depth problem-solving attitude Excellent written and verbal communications skills Team management skills An ability to think critically about systems and to make adjustments consistently as needed Ability to manage time effectively while setting the tone of the team through modeling and leadership Having a sense of urgency and prioritization Skills and Knowledge: Proven experience managing technical projects and/or teams with competing priorities.
Advanced technology knowledge including networking and systems administration.
Thorough knowledge of networks and cloud computing.
Leadership and Organization skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Excellent time management and prioritizing skills.
Problem-Solving aptitude.
Experience with AWS, O365, Azure AD, Mimecast, Okta, SCCM, Endpoint Manager, Palo Alto, Juniper.
Familiarity with security standards and best practices such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, National Institutes of Standards and Technology (NIST), or Center for Internet Security (CIS).
Target Pay Range: $116,900 - $160,738 The final starting salary offer to the successful candidate will be determined by evaluating several factors, such as education, experience, knowledge, skills, internal equity, alignment with market data, and geography.
*Nevro is a multi-state employer, so the target pay range may increase or decrease depending on the city/state.
