JOB SUMMARY: The MEP Coordinator Intern will learn to read and understand the construction design documents and specifications related to Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Low Voltage, Fire Protection, Fire Alarm, Balancing, and BMS/BAS Controls.
Work with the project team to understand how the design intent of Architectural Design Documents interfaces with MEPF Design Consultants and trade partners.
Heavy involvement in BIM to help resolve issues.
SALARY: BENEFITS: Eligible for medical benefits JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Exposure to supervision of multiple job sites to monitor and manage projects during each phase of construction; including but not limited to pre-construction, construction, closeout, and post-construction.
Assist with coordination between project architects, MEP designers, owners, and field personnel.
Assist with generating MEPF Request for Information (RFI) and submittals.
Help manage project MEPF subcontractors.
Walk the jobsite daily to coordinate with MEPF subcontractors and review the work in place performed by MEP contracts.
Review plans on site with MEPF subcontractors.
Assist in jobsite coordination meetings with MEPF subcontractors.
Perform Site observations to ensure Quality and compliance Verify that all MEPF equipment and materials are consistent with the approved submittals when they arrive on jobsites.
Help track start-up and testing work through Test and balancing to commissioning.
Work with commissioning agents to ensure all required field support by MEPF trades are provided.

QUALIFICATIONS: Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Science, Architectural Engineering.
Working knowledge of computer software, i.
e.
, Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam.
Broad knowledge of AutoCAD or Revit is a plus.
Interest in learning LEAN and BIM techniques.
Interest in learning BIM uses and quality planning.
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
Self-motivated with high degree of ethics and integrity.
Good oral and written communication skills.
