TELACU Construction Management is looking for an experienced Project Superintendent to work on large scale public works projects in Orange County, Los Angeles County, San Bernardino, and San Diego County.
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 7 years in public works construction .
Must be able to:
* Proficiently read and interpret blue prints and enforce specifications
* Attend and at times conduct weekly project/foremen meetings
* Track and update the schedule - daily, weekly and monthly
* Ensure that action items are carried out by all trades
* Maintain project RFI log and change order logs both electronically and hardcopy
* Conduct and document weekly safety meetings
DUTIES: Typical responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to the following:
* Build and manage the construction schedule
* Coordinate trade contractors to stay on schedule
* Maintain strict accordance with the contract documents
* Work with the inspector to ensure all codes are being followed
* Assist in writing RFI's and fielding any RFI's that come up
* Support all safety efforts in the field, lead safety orientations
* Stay informed of all field activities
* Monitor actual work to maintain compliance for the work plan
* Maintain daily reports and documentation
* Enforce safety and quality control policies
* Attend and participates in project meetings
* Other duties as needed
EXPERIENCE and EDUCATION
* BS degree in Engineering, Construction Management or similar
* 3 years experience in superintendent role on construction projects
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
* Public works experience is required
* Strong technical and communication skills
* Excellent organizational skills
* Ability to work in a team environment
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, MS Project, Primavera P6
* Construction-document and drawing literate, with knowledge of all phases of construction
* Experience and proficiency in all divisions of work, methods, materials, scheduling and cost control
* OSHA 30 hour certified
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $130,000.
