We are looking for a reliable Maintenance Manager to oversee all installation, repair, and upkeep operations of the company’s facility in South San Francisco.
The Maintenance Manager will be the one to ensure that all the departments have the best physical resources available to complete their duties according to budget.
Summary of Key Responsibilities - Develops maintenance procedures and ensures implementation.
- Periodic walkthroughs and inspections of the facility to identify and resolve issues.
- Checks systems and equipment to ensure functionality.
- Plans and oversees all repair and installation activities.
- Supervises allocation of workload and well use of technical and human resources by the planner.
- Monitors equipment inventory and place orders when necessary.
- Monitors expenses and controls the budget for maintenance.
- Manages relationships with contractors and service providers.
- Keeps maintenance logs and reports on daily activities.
- Ensures health and safety policies are complied with.
- Collaborates with other Departments to develop, plan, and implement projects to improve company efficiency, safety, and overall throughput.
- Collaborates with all other departments to ensure full audit compliance and lead the maintenance team accordingly.
- Research new equipment to potentially acquire and install at the facility.
- Recruits, develops, and trains the maintenance team.
- Leads the maintenance team with an emphasis on equipment reliability, regulatory compliance, safety, and innovation.
- Provides the vision necessary to motivate team members to achieve the best results in collaboration with other departments.
Requirements: Skills - Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager or other managerial role.
- Experience in planning maintenance operations.
- Solid understanding of technical aspects of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems, etc.
- Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment.
- Ability to keep track of and report on activity.
- Ability to multitask and operate on a rapidly changing environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
- Valid Certified Maintenance Manager (CMM) will be a plus.

- Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: Forklift - Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
