The Digital Manufacturing Systems team is seeking a highly motivated staff systems engineer to help imagine, invent, and implement technology used to manufacture the next generation of Ford vehicles.

As a senior engineer you will be expected to implement never done before solutions on not yet shipped hardware.

Key Qualifications
High attention to detail
Strongly empathetic with the ability to partner with broad variety of internal partner teams and internal clients
Extensive systems engineering experience in multiple environments and multiple systems (PLM,MES,CAD & other manufacturing data systems)
Experience with geometry rendering, kernel/engine
Experience or strong interest in robotics and industrial controls programming
Ability to think through factory/manufacturing implications of your solutions in order to build the right things, the right way, the first time.
Ideal Qualifications
4 plus years experience PLM platform automation (DS/TC platforms)
4 plus years experience Integration of PLM/Shopfloor Systems
4 plus years experience with Python, Typescript, JavaScript, Ruby or Erlang
4 plus years experience implementing Actor Model based software solutions
6 plus years experience in software engineering or Masters Degree/Ph.
D.
in CS

Description
You will be building software and collaborating across a broad spectrum of teams and various factory, IT, and testing teams to design and develop innovative solutions for Ford’s factory lines.
You will also enjoy responsibility for maintaining and improving existing software.
Responsibilities Will Include:

- Develop test plans and integration plans and help debug production issues
