YOUR DAY TO DAY: (Role summary): Responsible for performing calibration of electronic and mechanical (production) equipment while following established procedures and working under general supervision.
Follow through with requests for service, troubleshoot and repair faults in equipment, construct electro-mechanical devices and service electronic equipment.
Upkeep with regularly scheduled PMs, training, and maintenance logs.
Must be comfortable with High Voltage maintenance.
Ability to work without established procedures, drawings, and/or schematics.
YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR: (Responsibilities): Calibrates inspection, measurement, and test equipment (IM&TE) in one or more of the following disciplines – Acoustical, Chemical, Dimensional, DC/Low Frequency, RF/Microwave, Fluid, Mechanical, Optical, Thermodynamics, and Time & Frequency, in order to ensure compliance with published specifications.
Maintains secondary and/or working calibration standards.
Performs basic maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of precision equipment.
Collects, compiles, measures, summarizes, and records data gathered during calibration.
Identifies out-of-tolerance conditions and performs corrective action via adjustments, component replacement, correction factors, etc.
Identifies and corrects measurement errors, as applicable.
Prepares calibration reports and certificates.
Adapts existing calibration equipment, standards, and techniques to accomplish unique measurement tasks for which they are not principally used.
Trains subordinates in calibration concepts and procedures.
Interacts with other technicians, Customer Service Representatives, Account Managers, and customers.
Other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned.
YOU ARE THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THIS JOB IF YOU HAVE: (Minimum requirements): A.
degree in appropriate technology OR five (5) years related work experience and training.
Must be able to perform general math and algebra functions.
Must possess good written and oral, communication skills.
Basic ability to troubleshoot repair, align and optimize precision equipment.
Intermediate computer skills .
Proficient in use of MS Word and Excel.
Must have very good interpersonal and customer service skills.
Strong attention to details.
Must be self-motivated, work as a team player, and able to follow written procedures.
This position requires potential access to technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
The successful candidate must be a “U.

Person” as defined under ITAR and EAR.
