Overview:
A Senior Equipment Maintenance Technician is needed to support the preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance of our factory equipment at our San Carlos, CA facility.
This position will support the powertrain and electronics manufacturing team.
Responsibilities:

Contribute to setting up the software and data system that supports maintenance, then be the number one user of this software and data system.
Identify service spares requirements, then stock service spares.
Work with machine vendors and subcontractors to collect requirements and define preventative maintenance schedules and procedures for all new and used industrial equipment.
Carry out preventative maintenance to properly service and maintain all current and future production equipment.
This may include utilizing hand tools and power tools, machine-shop fabrication equipment, electrical wiring, and troubleshooting, working with high voltage and hydraulic/pneumatic pressure systems, mechanical component assembly, general equipment troubleshooting,
Equipment to be maintained and repaired includes robotic workstations, laser and electric welders, process ovens, air compressors, vacuum pumps, electrical testing and inspection equipment, AOI, and AXI equipment.
Reports to the Manufacturing Equipment Technician Lead
Required:
Software Requirements
Microsoft Office
Web-based maintenance platform (such as Upkeep, Ion, Apriso, L2L, or equivalent)
Experience Requirements
HS Diploma or GED equivalent
Trade certificate, or a minimum of 4 years of experience in maintaining Industrial/Manufacturing equipment or equivalent.
Ability to analyze problems and error conditions, identify root causes, and implement a viable long-term solution.
Self-starter
High mechanical aptitude
Experience and comfort in reading electrical schematics to diagnose and guide electrical repairs.
Experience and comfort using software on automated workstations to diagnose and guide electrical and mechanical repairs.
Solid understanding of electrical and mechanical hazards, safety procedures, and safety devices
Desired:
Associates degree or higher
Electronics production experience
Strong desire to continually learn and grow new skills.
Robot controller and PLC programming experience
Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
The target base pay for this position is $37-$42 per hour.
The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
