Job Description: Responsible for performing mechanical assembly tasks related to the fabrication or repair of rotodome antennas, rotary couplers and/or related subassemblies.
Major Responsibilities: 1.
Performs mechanical assembly work utilizing blueprints and operation sheets.
Uses standard hand tools and various epoxies to perform operations.
2.
Interfaces with quality assurance and test personnel to ensure subassemblies are inspected and tested at specified checkpoints.
3.
May perform duties relating to remote testing, including preparing and transporting product and assisting test site personnel.
4.
Performs rework and makes adjustments as required.
5.
Performs pressure testing to locate leaks in subassemblies.
Education/Experience/Training: Requires a high school diploma and/or a minimum of four to six years of related mechanical assembly experience and the ability to read operation sheets and moderately complex blueprints.
Also requires the ability to use measuring instruments such as caliper and scale, and use formulas and charts.
Additional Requirements: Flexible to work varied shifts, overtime, weekends and travel on occasion.
Must have good repetitive manual dexterity with both hands.
Must have sufficient vision to see relative positions of small parts and able to discern symmetry and proper alignment.
Based upon your job duties, and need to visit different areas within the company, you may be exposed to; fumes, dust, toxic or caustic chemicals (well below OSHA and ACGIH exposure guidelines), outdoor weather, moving mechanical parts and/or be part of a hearing conservation program due to noise levels around certain equipment.
Able to stoop, bend, kneel, and squat for extended periods of time.
Able to push and reach for extended periods of time.
Able to lift 50 pounds close to the body repetitively.
(Employees need to ask for assistance and use material handling tools for lesser weight in awkward location and/or body positions and for any items over 50 pounds).
Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment as necessary.
Must be able to pass a respirator medical physical.
May not have facial hair and be clean shaven per California and Federal OSHA requirements to ensure a proper fit of respiratory protection.
Work at heights up to 30 feet after training.
Wearing fall protection above 30 inches utilizing existing fall protection.
Operate overhead crane, lifts & rigging after training.
Must have a valid California Drivers License May be required to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $60k - $68k.
This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
