Compensation:

Responsibilities:
Revisit previously submitted proposal and budgets with clients
Prepare estimates, written proposals, budgets, costs, and updates for clients and project managers
Collaborate with the construction project manager to oversee and coordinate the bid process for vendors and subcontractors
Estimate time, labor, construction materials, and product costs to determine overall cost for construction projects
Inspect the construction site to collect necessary client requirement information
We are looking for an experienced Residential Construction Estimator to join our team.
The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in the construction industry.
Responsibilities:
Analyze construction drawings, specifications, and other documents to prepare time, cost and labor estimates
Prepare detailed cost estimates for residential construction projects
Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain materials and services at the most competitive prices
Work closely with clients and homeowners to understand the scope of the project and ensure estimates are accurate
Use computer software to prepare cost and labor estimates
Monitor changes in materials and labor costs to ensure estimates are current
Prepare estimates for multiple projects simultaneously
Troubleshoot and solve problems that arise during the construction process
Exercise creative thinking when devising construction solutions
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Qualifications:
Bachelors’ degree in civil engineering, accounting, construction management, or related field is required
Critical thinking, analytical skills, and very strong math skills are required
Knowledge of data and risk analysis, research methodology, accounting, and estimation metrics is critical
Stellar communication, project management, and time-management skills are crucial
Minimum 3 years of experience in the construction industry - project estimating or construction management is needed
A minimum of 3 years of experience in the construction industry, with a focus on estimating or project management
A proven track record of successfully developing and managing project budgets
Excellent time management skills to meet tight deadlines while maintaining quality work
Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members, clients, and vendors
Proficiency in construction software and technology, such as estimating tools and project management applications
