Responsibilities:
Perform moving, lifting, soldering, brazing, sanding, and operation of an automatic press
Manually cut and bend copper tubing to fit into machined plate
Insert the assembled parts to the mechanical press and operate press to set the tube
Once set, remove plate and solder to seal the tube
Allow solder to cool and then sand the plate ensuring a level and flat surface
Responsible for visual inspections of material before and after assembly
Inspect work visually for irregularities and report any irregularities to supervisor
Thoroughly read and understand job-related documents and specifications
Keep up with production demands as assigned by lead, supervisor or manager
Adhere to safety regulations and report any instances of safety violations to a supervisor or appropriate individual(s)
If there is a shortage of materials or parts for the job, the supervisor or scheduler may temporarily reassign to a position with work available
Qualifications:
Requires a majority of the workday to be spent on feet at several workstations
Ability to self-monitor workfow and adhere to schedules in order to achieve the required number of parts each day, week, etc.
Demonstratable experience soldering, brazing, sanding, grinding
Ability to frequently lift up to 25 pounds
Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds
Interact with employees, vendors, customers and visitors in a professional manner
Ability to read, speak and legibly write in the English language
