We are seeking a talented mid-level Hardware Test Engineer to join our team.
In this role, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing robust test solutions for both manufacturing and ongoing R&D initiatives.
Your expertise in test development, hardware interfacing, and automation will be key in ensuring the quality, efficiency, and reliability of our test systems.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand manufacturing requirements and develop comprehensive test strategies and plans
Design and develop automated test frameworks, scripts, and systems using C++ and Python
Interface with hardware components and systems, ensuring seamless integration of test solutions within the manufacturing environment
Optimize and streamline existing test processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and reliability
Debug and troubleshoot test-related issues and propose innovative solutions to enhance test coverage and effectiveness
Analyze test data and results to identify trends and drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes
Develop and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test procedures, specifications, and reports
Chart path to developing our testing systems with industry standard tools
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing test development or related roles
Strong proficiency in C++ and Python programming, with hands-on experience in developing hardware test frameworks and scripts
Experience in interfacing with manufacturing equipment and systems
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly
Bonus Qualifications
Prior experience with protobuf, Qt, and embedded C++ development
Experience with Vee, Labview, or other equivalent systems for development of automated validation and production test systems
Experience with statistical analysis
Experience taking at least one product through the entire development process
Experience defining/developing ICT/ FCT testers with external vendors for PCA testing is preferred
Familiarity with one or more of the following:
Prototype and medium volume manufacturing
BLDC Motor Controller integration/testing
Lithium-based battery testing/monitoring
Aerospace electronics design/manufacturing

Salary Range
The salary range for this role is reflected in Pivotal's Pay Structure - Pay Bands (PB) 11-14.
