We are seeking a talented mid-level Software Test Engineer to join our team.
In this role, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing robust test solutions for both manufacturing and ongoing R&D initiatives.
Your expertise in test development, software interfacing, and automation will be key in ensuring the quality, efficiency, and reliability of our test systems.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand software requirements and develop comprehensive test strategies and plans
Design and develop automated test frameworks, scripts, and systems using C++ and Python
Maintain and trouble shoot the HIL environment
Perform software integration testing
Test as You Fly
Maintain Software/Hardware configuration of the HIL’s
Optimize and streamline existing test processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and reliability
Debug and troubleshoot test-related issues and propose innovative solutions to enhance test coverage and effectiveness
Analyze test data and results to identify trends and drive continuous improvement in software processes
Develop and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test procedures, specifications, and reports
Chart path to developing our software testing systems with industry standard tools
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in firmware test development or related roles
Strong proficiency in C++ and Python programming, with hands-on experience in developing software test frameworks and scripts
Experience in interfacing and testing with microcontroller
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly
Bonus Qualifications
Prior experience with embedded C++ development
Experience with systems for development of automated validation and software test systems
Experience with HIL test environment
Experience taking at least one product through the entire software development lifecycle
Familiarity with one or more of the following
eVTOL software test environment
HIL testing
Aerospace software design
Microcontroller’s
Salary Range
The salary range for this role is reflected in Pivotal's Pay Structure - Pay Bands (PB) 11-14.
Applicants must be eligible for employment in the United States and willing to work onsite at our HQ office in Palo Alto, CA.
