As a Global Supply Manager on the Battery Raw Materials team you will play a critical role in building a global battery raw material supply to enable EV industry growth, deliver cutting edge products, and drive positive impact to the environment.
Tesla is investing heavily to become an industry leader in battery design, engineering, and manufacturing and is building the Battery Raw Materials supply chain team to support EV and stationary storage production at the TWh/yr scale.
The Role:
Tesla’s Battery Raw Materials team is looking for a Global Supply Manager who is a strategic thinker with a proven track record of negotiating innovative, large-scale deals and building and managing complex supply chains.
In this role you will be responsible for securing battery raw materials and be involved in product development all the way from R&D to production, while balancing cost, quality, global supply and demand, as well as geopolitical risks.

The successful candidate will be a self-starter; motivated, and with a demonstrated track record of achievement.
What You’ll Do
Own and execute the supply chain – from collaborating with engineering on new products and developing strategies, to leading supplier selection and negotiation, to managing material qualification and flow into Tesla and third party facilities
Negotiate long term deals and contracts, and drive the execution and implementation thereof by leading cross-functional teams, managing timelines, and developing creative solutions to complex issues
Leverage your extensive supply chain experience in developing sourcing strategies based on market conditions, technology roadmaps, and changing geopolitical risks; managing supplier relationships; building detailed cost models and driving cost reductions; and collaborating with purchasing counterparts
What You’ll Bring
BS Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science or evidence of technical experience and exceptional ability; Advanced degrees preferred (e.
g.
MS, PhD, or MBA)
Experience in battery materials, chemical or material mass production preferred OR 10+ years of work experience in a highly technical Global Supply Manager (GSM) role

Expected Compensation
$72,000 - $264,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
