As a final assembly technician, you will play a crucial role in the assembly and testing of Helix.
You will be responsible for integrating mechanical and electrical sub-systems into the structure of the aircraft.
You will also participate in the end-of-line testing of these subsystems, making sure that the aircraft is ready for flight operations.
Responsibilities Final Assembly: Assemble mechanical and electrical components into the aircraft according to engineering specifications, blueprints, and work instructions to ensure the accurate assembly of Helix.
Component Testing: Perform functional tests and evaluations on assembled components and systems to validate performance and functionality, reporting any anomalies or deviations for further analysis.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of assembly work and test results, adhering to documentation protocols and procedures to ensure traceability and compliance with regulatory standards.
Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections of your work together with the quality team to ensure the safety and reliability of the aircraft.
Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, guidelines, and regulatory requirements during assembly operations, promoting a culture of safety and compliance within the production environment.
Continuous improvement: Identify and troubleshoot any assembly issues or discrepancies, provide feedback and propose improvements.
Collaborate with manufacturing engineering and quality assurance teams to implement effective solutions in a timely manner and achieve production goals effectively.
Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and calibration of assembly tools, equipment, and machinery to ensure optimal performance and reliability, reporting any maintenance issues or concerns for timely resolution.
Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in aircraft assembly/maintenance or related field preferred.
Proven experience in aircraft assembly, final assembly, or a similar manufacturing environment.
Strong mechanical aptitude and technical skills, with the ability to interpret engineering drawings, and technical documentation.
Attention to detail and precision in assembly work, with a commitment to quality and craftsmanship.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and troubleshooting skills, with the capacity to analyze complex issues and implement effective solutions.
Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a positive work environment.
Adherence to safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and quality standards in all aspects of assembly operations.
Willingness to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and production schedules.
Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required in an aerospace manufacturing setting.
Applicants must be eligible for employment in the United States and willing to work onsite at our HQ office in Palo Alto, CA.
