What to Expect
We are seeking a highly skilled semiconductor product engineering / quality engineer specializing in image sensors, embedded system and GPUs to join our Semiconductor Component Supplier Industrialization Engineering team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving the component suppliers for failure analysis, technology roadmaps, yield improvement and cost reductions.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams such as engineering development, reliability, field quality, and manufacturing, will be essential to ensure efficient problem solving and product improvement.
What You’ll Do
Work with semiconductor suppliers to establish and maintain robust quality management systems aligned with automotive industry standards and requirement
Conduct regular audits of semiconductor suppliers to assess adherence to quality standards and identify areas for improvement - ideal candidate should be able to dial into the manufacturing process and control plan details
Lead root cause analysis efforts to investigate semiconductor component failures and direct cross functional team with appropriate mitigation strategies
Evaluate potential risks associated with semiconductor components and develop strategies to mitigate these risks throughout the supply chain
Work with foundry and OSAT to bring packaging solution from concept to production
Monitor supplier's yield and take appropriate action; also to drive defectivity to meet Tesla requirement
Work closely with internal teams, including engineering, procurement, field quality, and manufacturing, to ensure seamless integration
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Semiconductor Physics, or equivalent
Extensive experience in semiconductor manufacturing processes, with a focus on automotive quality requirements
AECQ and ISO 26262 compliance experience is essential
Proven track record in supplier quality management and audit processes within the automotive supply chain
Strong understanding of failure analysis techniques and the ability to drive effective corrective actions
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across multiple functional areas
Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to ensuring the highest standards of component quality and reliability in automotive applications
Experience with semiconductor fabrication and backend assembly
Experience with PCBA process and testing
Experience with image sensor, embedded system / microcontrollers, GPU
