We are a property management company with properties along the Peninsula and are looking for a part-time handyman (or woman!).
We care deeply about taking care of our tenants and keeping our properties properly maintained.
Schedule:
This is a part-time position (~20 hours/week), but hours can increase depending on need.
Responsibilities:
- Follow to-do list and procedures as well as be proactive to notify property management regarding potential property care improvements
- Perform plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs, in addition to painting as needed.
- Picking up supplies or materials from local hardware and/or landscaping stores.
- Perform sanitation duties including general cleaning
What We're Looking For:
- Must have professional working proficiency in English.
Can communicate well with property management
- 5+ years of related professional experience
- Excellent references required from previous employers
- Valid Driver's License required and legally eligible to work in the United States
- Must pass a background check and drug screen
- Must have their own vehicle
- Must be professional, proactive, reliable, and respect the boundaries of our tenants
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and provide manual labor including but not limited to lifting, pushing, and pulling.
- Education in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, irrigation or any similar trade is a plus.
- Knowledge of workplace safety and appropriate safety protocols.
- Must know how to operate basic power tools.
- Consistently demonstrate excellent technical knowledge of the job.
- Able to respond to requests in a timely fashion and follow through until completed.
- Can show flexibility and go the extra mile when needed to get the job done.
- Strong attention to detail and organized, with great time-management and problem-solving skills.
